The 2014 Kia Optima was introduced at the 2013 New York International Auto Show in March. The new Optima is currently preparing for arrival in showrooms early this fall. In the meantime, take a look at what’s changed in this best-selling midsize sedan.
With the updates to the 2014 Optima, Kia has taken a good thing and made it even better. The biggest exterior changes the refreshed Optima will debut include a new front end. The LED lighting above headlight units has been repositioned. Additionally, new quad-LED fog lights complement a refined new front bumper.
Kia has also reworked components of the Optima’s interior. For 2014, two new infotainment displays will be available for the Optima– a 4.3-inch TFT display in the gauge cluster and a larger, eight-inch high-resolution screen that houses the navigation and infotainment data. The Optima also receives supportive new seats which make for a more comfortable ride.
Keeping the security of its passengers in mind, Kia adds new safety options for the 2014 Optima. Available blind spot monitoring prevents hazardous lane changes by alerting the driver of vehicles they may have missed with their mirrors or the naked eye. Available cross-traffic alert warns the driver of impending traffic in situations such as backing out of a parking space.
Keep an eye out for the 2014 Optima Kia to arrive at an Ed Napleton store and test drive the difference. Until then, explore more favorite models at your local Napleton Kia dealership.
